Why a VPS instead of shared hosting
On shared hosting your site competes for CPU and memory with hundreds of other sites on the same machine. The effect shows at the worst moment: the store slows down exactly when traffic grows. A VPS gives you reserved resources of your own: the basket, checkout and wp-admin stay fast regardless of what anyone else is doing. For a WooCommerce store, where every second of load time is lost orders, that's the difference between hosting and infrastructure.
What "managed" actually covers
A server without care is a problem on a timer, so the plan includes everything that keeps it healthy: PHP, database and cache configuration tuned to your site, SSL certificates with automatic renewal, a firewall that blocks attacks, regular system updates and availability monitoring with alerts. You don't get SSH access and a list of chores: you get a working site and one contact responsible for the whole thing.
Backups you can actually restore
A backup kept on the same server as the site isn't a backup, it's an illusion: a disk failure or a break-in takes both. That's why we copy the whole server daily and store the backup away from the production machine, with 7-day retention. When something goes wrong, after a failed plugin update, a theme error or an infection, we restore the site from a copy and then find the cause, instead of hoping for the best.
Takeover and free migration included
Getting started requires no technical work from you: we move your site from its current hosting as part of the plan, with full testing before the switch, exactly like our migration service. The switch happens outside peak hours and any interruption is kept to a minimum. If you already have a VPS nobody looks after, we can take over an existing server too: we start with a configuration and security audit.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a managed VPS cost?
Start is £49 net per month (5 email mailboxes), Business £225, Store £275 and Store Pro £325 (higher plans include 10 mailboxes). Pay annually up front and prices drop by 10%, so Store Pro works out at £292.50 a month. Every plan includes the full set: environment setup, Cloudflare, monitoring, daily backups, email, SSL, full migration and server administration.
Are the resources guaranteed or shared?
On Business, Store and Store Pro you get your own VPS: the RAM is fully reserved and nobody else uses your resources. Start is space on a shared, managed machine, which is why we recommend it for sites without a store.
What happens if the hardware fails?
Honestly: it's a single VPS, not a cluster. If hardware fails, we restore the server from the daily backup onto a new machine; that process is measured in hours, not minutes. If your business needs full redundancy, we'll prepare an individual offer.
Where are the backups kept?
The daily server backup (7-day retention) is stored away from the production server, so a machine failure never takes the backup with it. Sites covered by our maintenance plans also keep an independent copy in an external service.
Where is the server located?
By default in a data centre in Poland, which makes GDPR compliance easier. On request we can provision the server in one of many available locations across Europe or beyond, for example closer to your customers.
Which Cloudflare tier is included?
The essential tier, configured for WooCommerce: CDN, edge caching, anti-DDoS protection and basic WAF rules with exclusions for the basket and customer account. An extended, managed WAF is available as an option.
Will changing hosting alone make my site faster?
Hosting is half the story: the other half sits in the theme, plugins and database. That's why a migration comes with an optimisation pass and a report with before-and-after numbers, including server response time and page load time.
Do I need to know anything about servers?
No. That's the whole point of the service: configuration, updates, security and incident response are on us. You use your site exactly as you do today.
